Foss, Lee and MacEachern Named to TCCC All-Academic Team
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - May 31, 2009 – Nineteen Colby-Sawyer athletes were named to the Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Commissioner Gregg Kaye. A total of 362 student-athletes were honored and all 14 institutions in The Commonwealth Coast Conference were represented on the Academic All-Conference Team.

2009 Season Recap
The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team began the 2009 season as a young and inexperience squad under first-year head coach, Jody Bergstrom. The team featured only three seniors, two juniors and four sophomores, while the 13 freshmen were heavily involved from game one. The season was off to a promising 2-0 start before the team struggled with several close matches. Nevertheless, the team dominated a late season conference match at Nichols to secure their fifth straight The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) tournament appearance and their eighth in the last nine seasons.

Allicia Murphy Earns All-TCCC First Team Accolades
NEW LONDON, N.H. - April 29, 2009 - Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse senior Allicia Murphy (North Bennington, Vt.) has been named to the All-TCCC Women's Lacrosse First Team according to a press release issued by the conference office. Murphy was named to the second team last season and was on the honorable mention team in 2006.

BEVERLY, Mass. - April 28, 2009 - The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team was defeated by the top seeded Endicott Gulls, 21-8 in the first round of The Commonwealth Coast Conference tournament. The Gulls improve to 13-4 overall this year while Colby-Sawyer wraps up its season at 3-11.

NEW LONDON, N.H. – April 23, 2009 – Plymouth State freshman Brianna Davis (Framingham, Mass.) scored six times to lead the visiting Panthers past Colby-Sawyer, 17-13 on senior day at Kelsey Field. The Chargers finish the regular season with a 3-10 record and will travel to Endicott on Tuesday, April 28 for a TCCC tournament opening round match.

Women's Swimming and Diving
Stephanie Smith (Sr., Georgetown, Mass.)... won two events for the women’s swimming team on Saturday. She clocked in at 31.01 to win the 50-yard butterfly and followed with a victory in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:10.74.

Men's Alpine Skiing
Shawn Dunstan (So., Sinking Spring, Pa.)... earned his second win of the season for the men’s ski team beating 75 other racers in a time of 1:26.19, in the slalom at Blackwater. He also had a third place in the giant slalom giving him seven top-3 finishes in eight races.
